Artists’ Book Fair at Tetley

This year sees the 21st edition of the International Contemporary Artists’ Book Fair, which the Tetley will host in March (Details here); it’s the longest running artists’ book fair, in the UK, outside of London.

There will over 50 stalls run by artists, collectives and independent publishers and I’m heading over myself to research, with a view to gaining great exposure for The Moor.

Hopefully see you there!

In Other News…

I’m really pleased to have heard this morning that some of my portrait work, which was selected for this year’s Portrait Salon, has been featured on the Guardian website.

The Portrait Salon was founded by Carole Evans and James O Jenkins in 2011 as a response to the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. A form of Salon des Refusés – an exhibition of works rejected from a juried art show – it aims to showcase the best of the rejected images from the Taylor Wessing Prize, which is organised annually by the National Portrait Gallery in London. The NPG Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize is one of the most prestigious photography prizes in the world, attracting entrants from professionals and amateurs alike (Source).

Photobook Fair ’17 – Impressions Bradford

The weekend ahead sees this year’s incarnation of Impressions’ Photobook Fair – you can find details on their website and this will be the third year I make a visit.

It’s always a great day out, and not only because of their Tombola, with opportunities to meet other practitioners, see new titles and get chatting to some of the independent producers out there.

This trip will be quite different for me this year, as I research and develop my work for Navigating the Moor. I hope to gauge interest, compare my own ideas for design and production and also, perhaps crucially, gain some more insight into editions sizes and cover prices.

Hope to see you there!
